The Nieuwe Kerk, Delft University of Technology, Delfts Blauw (the famous blue-and-white pottery produced in Delft), the House of Orange (the Dutch Royal Family), Johannes Vermeer (the famous Dutch painter): Delft has so many USPs that other cities can only dream of. It also has beautiful pavement cafés, trendy coffee bars, shops that are both quirky and Bohemian, cultural activities and highlights in abundance. Although its history is impressive, Delft has remained a compact city that you can walk around conveniently, from the tomb of the House of Orange along idyllic little canals and across picturesque bridges to Le Vieux Jean.
